Happy Tuesday, Friends! Here’s something I’ve been thinking about: our lives are constantly giving us information, and we don't always stop long enough to collect it. We notice that the same kind of conversation keeps frustrating us, that a certain environment consistently leaves us energized, that one dream keeps resurfacing, or that we feel ourselves shrinking in a particular situation. Then we label the experience and move on. What if we got curious instead? Your life is giving you data about what matters to you, what fits this season, where you are growing, and where something may need to change. Even envy can contain information. So can frustration. So can the things you keep saying, “One day, I’m going to…” about. I've got news for you: You don't have to act on every feeling, but you can listen to what keeps repeating. Over the past few years, I had to slow down and situate myself at home. As much as I love traveling and connecting with women around the world, my heart was detached from those experiences because I was missing special moments with my minis. My mind said "go" but my heart said "go home." And I did. I listened to what was on repeat and found pure joy and bliss at home with my family. Try this today. Give yourself five quiet minutes and finish these three sentences in your journal: I keep noticing… I keep feeling… I keep wanting… Then read your answers as if you were reading someone else's journal. What patterns do you see? What is your life trying to tell you? That little exercise can turn self-judgment into self-awareness, and self-awareness gives you choices. Your life is talking. Pay attention before it has to get louder.
I'm cheering you forward from victory to victory! Sybil. P.S. Got a show idea? Want to chat? We'd love to hear from you! Reply to this email with your pitch, or send your feedback/questions over because I love hearing from you! |
